Wildlife & Nature
Iāve been visiting wildlife areas for most of my life. We went on regular trips to the Kruger National Park as a family when I was young. In 2006 I fulfilled a lifelong dream to live and work in the bush when I completed the &Beyond (CC Africa at the time) ranger selection and training course at Phinda Game Reserve and was posted as a guide to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. I spent years there working as a safari guide and lodge manager, solidifying my love of nature, wildlife, and the bush.
Living in South Africa provides incredible opportunities to connect with some of the world's most amazing wildlife, and an annual Kruger trip is still a major part of my calendar, when I can get it to work.

Technology Meets Nature
I love combining my tech interests with wildlife interests - using apps for species identification, GPS tracking for migration data, and camera traps for behavioural studies, using AI to identify animalsā¦etcā¦ There are so many untapped opportunities for how technology can enhance our interaction with and understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
