AI Exploration
Artificial Intelligence represents one of the most exciting frontiers in technology today. I'm fascinated by how AI can augment human capabilities, solve complex problems, and create new possibilities across industries - especially in travel, conservation, creativity, and customer experience.
Areas of Interest
- Natural Language Processing: Understanding and generating human language
- Computer Vision: Teaching machines to see and interpret visual information
- Machine Learning: Building systems that learn and improve from data
- Automation: Using AI to streamline repetitive tasks and processes
Current Explorations
- Travel Personalization: Using AI to create more personalized travel experiences
- Content Generation: Exploring AI-assisted writing and creative processes
- Process Optimization: Applying ML to improve business workflows
- Conversational AI: Building better chatbots and virtual assistants
- Coding and Development: I've been able to build and develop things quickly that would have been impossible for me a few years ago
Tools & Technologies
I am currently using Gemini 2.5 Pro for most things, but I run a few models locally for specific tasks. Like workflows for image generation using ComfyUI or local language models through Ollama. Cline, and more recently Kiro, have been invaluable and I am looking forward to seeing where these tools go.
Philosophy & Ethics
I believe AI should augment human capabilities rather than replace them. The focus should always be on creating tools that make people more productive, creative, and capable while maintaining human oversight and ethical considerations. Having said that, there are so many things that AI simply does better than me, and some that AI does well that I could not do on my own.
Real-World Applications
At Rhino Africa, I explore how AI can enhance customer service, personalize travel experiences, and automate routine tasks - always with the goal of creating better experiences for both customers and team members.
